Disney Fantasy Trip Report- Day 2 Sea Day

We took a trip on the Disney Fantasy in Spring of 2016 to the Western Caribbean.  The first full day of our cruise was a restful sea day with nothing to do but explore the awesome ship. We all awoke around 7:30 am and after spending some quiet time as a family we went up to Cabanas for breakfast. At 8:45 am the buffet restaurant was bustling with cruisers, most of them already outfitted in their swimwear and cover ups. Despite the busyness of the restaurant we were able to secure a table relatively easily by a window with a glorious view of the open sea.

Disney Cruise Adventures: Anyone Can Cook Classes

One of the things I love about Disney cruises is that the ship schedule is packed with a bounty of activities for the entire family to enjoy.  One activity that we love to partake in is the Anyone Can Cook classes.  While there are cooking classes by the professional chefs offered specifically for adults, with complimentary wine pairings (for those who indulge), there are regularly scheduled classes in the awesome kid’s Oceaneer’s Club and Lab for the whole family to enjoy. Disney Fantasy Cruise- Castaway Cay 5k

Earlier this year we were blessed to take a trip on the Disney Fantasy, cruising the Caribbean.  On our final day we stopped at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.  On each Disney cruise that stops at Castaway Cay, there is a 5K run that occurs first thing in the morning, before most cruisers are ready to head to the island for the day.  The Castaway Cay 5k run is free to all cruisers but you must sign up in advance and participants must be 10 years of age. The Tusker House Buffet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

Animal Kingdom is one of our favorite parks at Walt Disney World in Florida.  We love the variety of activities there including the animal exhibits, excellent musical production shows and the Mount Everest roller coaster.  One of our favorite things to do at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is to catch a meal at the awesome Tusker House buffet located in the Africa neighborhood. What To Pack for a Day at a Disney Park

I will admit that one of the huge perks that helped me fall in love with living in Florida was the ready, easy access to all things Disney.  When we moved two summers ago we researched the available annual pass options at Walt Disney World and within a few months of becoming Florida residents, we were Premium Annual Pass holders (yeah, we went “all in” lol).
We enjoy the flexibility of spontaneous visits and the low pressure to see and do everything when we’re at any given park.  If we miss a fast pass or a parade or it starts pouring rain we can easily change plans and the kids understand that they can always catch their favorite ride or see their favorite show at any other time.

Our Very MerryTime Cruise on the Disney Dream 2015: Travelogue Day 4- Adventures At Sea

Our last full day on the Disney Dream started with breakfast in the Enchanted Garden restaurant.  Our entire crew made it this time; we had spoken so highly of our breakfast there the day before that my in laws decided to join us.  We were seated promptly and then allowed to proceed to the buffet.  The restaurant, not surprisingly, was much busier on this morning since we were at sea and everyone was having their meals, somewhere on the ship.  Despite the slight crowds the staff kept the buffet lines moving smoothly and were attending to the tables very well.  Our server took our breakfast beverage orders and we also placed orders with him for custom omelets from the kitchen.  We ate well and enjoyed a relaxing meal together.
