Family Friendly Places to Visit in San Antonio, TX

Texas is a larger than life destination for families. The Lone Start State is absolutely huge and there are so many different cities with their own unique and interesting cultures. On our first trip to Texas a couple months ago we spent time in Austin and San Antonio and had a fantastic time with the kids. We spent most of our time in San Antonio (more than a week) and had a long list of activities we wanted to do. Even with 7 + days in the city we didn’t get to see everything we wanted to. Here is a list of our top experiences in San Antonio and a few that we didn’t get to visit.

Crococun Zoo

One of our favorite places to travel to as a family is Riviera Maya, Mexico. It’s is an easy 2 hour flight from central Florida and provides a host of activities for all of us to enjoy. Aside from the gorgeous beaches you can find Mayan ruins, cenotes (underground swimming holes), shopping, and more… On our last visit to the region we decided to stop at the Crococun Zoo, an interactive animal experience we had heard a lot about.

Maui Tropical Plantation tips

When to go

The Maui Tropical Plantation is located in Waikapu on the Hawaiian island of Maui. The plantation opens daily from 9am -5 pm. The grounds are expansive and beautiful with a lot of open space. There are plenty of areas to explore and just take in the views. Morning and afternoon offer similar weather aside from a random rain shower.
