Ritz Carlton St Thomas

Hubby and I visited the Virgin Islands in Summer 2016 and instantly fell in love with these beautiful, picturesque islands.  We flew in and out of St. Thomas and though we spent the majority of our vacation on Scrub Island off the coast of Tortola, we did spend one night prior to our return at the Ritz Carlton on St. Thomas.  One night just wasn’t enough and I was immediately enamored with this wonderful resort.  I decided to write a post outlining the amazing property and what I loved most about staying there. NCL Escape Family Cruise- Travelogue Day 2- At Sea

We enjoy cruising as a family.  Living in Central Florida makes it easy and economical because we don’t have flight costs on top of our cruise fare.  I sailed on the Norwegian Escape in October of 2016.  Our first morning onboard was sunny and clear. Hurricane Matthew was gearing up strength in another part of the Caribbean but our skies were blue and the ocean breeze was SO refreshing.

The Beauty of Delnor Wiggins State Park

Earlier this fall we spent a long weekend in the South Gulf Coast of FL.  We love the Gulf Coast beaches in St Petersburg and Sarasota area and we wanted to visit the Southern Gulf.  We stayed on lovely Marco Island, just south of Naples.  On our final day of the weekend we drove up to Delnor Wiggins State Park; this park was recommended to us by the staff at the awesome Holiday Inn Sunset Cove as one of the most beautiful beach parks in the Naples area. 4 Reasons to love the Miami Children’s Museum

The Miami Children’s Museum provided us with a fun and educational activity one day during our last trip to Miami in the Spring.  We stayed downtown for a few days as a sort of layover on our road trip to the Florida Keys.  We found that this children’s museum was conveniently located near to our hotel and was easily accessible.  We had an awesome visit and definitely plan to visit again on our next trip to the Miami area.  Here are the top 5 reasons we feel the Miami Children’s Museum is a great place for families and kids.

Norwegian Escape Eastern Caribbean Cruise: Travelogue Day One

I had my eye on the Norwegian Escape for about one year; it debuted in 2015 and hubby and I were intrigued by the fresh, modern appeal of NCL’s newest ship. Off and on throughout the year I would casually check the rates to see how prices fluctuated with the season. I was not surprised to see prices drop after the summer 2016 season ended and hurricane season started but I was shocked at the incredible rates available in late Sept and October of this year.

Hubby and I talked it over and decided that I would take the girls and go with a one of my closest friends during the first week of October. He had to travel on business that week anyways so it seemed like a win win!

3 Tips for Families Visiting Key West Museum of Arts and History at the Custom House

Lovely Key West Florida has a lot to offer families.  Besides the lovely beaches and quaint vibe of the town there are many opportunities for learning and education:  The Lighthouse and Keeper’s Quarters, Fort East Martello and the Custom House.  We visited Key West earlier this year and stayed in the famous Mallory Square, walking distance from the Custom House Museum.  My girls loved the giant statue at the front of the museum and frequently asked me to take them on a visit to the museum.  On our final morning in Key West we visited this small museum.
