Disney Fantasy Family Cruise- Travelogue Day 4

The fourth day of our Disney Fantasy cruise was a port day on the lovely island of Grand Cayman.

As we rolled out of bed that morning we collectively decided that this would be a chill out day for us. We hadn’t booked any port excursions and though we would have enjoyed a day at Seven Mile Beach as we did on a previous Disney Cruise, we just didn’t have it in us to get going…

Disney Fantasy Family Cruise- Travelogue Day 3- Cozumel

Our first stop on our 7 night Disney Western Caribbean cruise was Cozumel. We had been to this small island once before with the girls, on our first Disney cruise, but we knew there was so much more to see and wanted to do something a little more adventurous.  We had spent the day prior to our visit onboard enjoying a relaxing sea day.  The evening before we arrived in port we visited the shore excursions desk onboard and booked a tour hosted through Disney Cruise line.

5 THINGS NOT TO DO ON YOUR FIRST VISIT TO THE MIAMI ZOO

Earlier this year our family took a trip to the Zoo Miami.  We passed through Miami on our way to the Florida Keys on a business trip for my husband.  We decided to break up the 7 hour trip from Orlando area to Key West, with a stop in Miami, which is somewhat of a halfway point.  The Miami Zoo is at the top of many lists of best places to visit as a family while in the Miami area so we definitely wanted to make a stop there.

Disney Fantasy Trip Report- Day 2 Sea Day

We took a trip on the Disney Fantasy in Spring of 2016 to the Western Caribbean.  The first full day of our cruise was a restful sea day with nothing to do but explore the awesome ship. We all awoke around 7:30 am and after spending some quiet time as a family we went up to Cabanas for breakfast. At 8:45 am the buffet restaurant was bustling with cruisers, most of them already outfitted in their swimwear and cover ups. Despite the busyness of the restaurant we were able to secure a table relatively easily by a window with a glorious view of the open sea.

Homeschool Diaries: What is an “Umbrella School”?

This is a year of firsts for our homeschooling family.  We have been homeschooling now for 4 years; aside from stints in traditional preschool programs for both of our girls, they have always been homeschooled.  As much as we enjoy it, homeschooling has required us to be particularly flexible with our daughters’ learning styles and finding ways to keep things fresh.  This year as we have enrolled both girls in an “umbrella” school called Circle Christian School.

Disney Cruise Adventures: Anyone Can Cook Classes

One of the things I love about Disney cruises is that the ship schedule is packed with a bounty of activities for the entire family to enjoy.  One activity that we love to partake in is the Anyone Can Cook classes.  While there are cooking classes by the professional chefs offered specifically for adults, with complimentary wine pairings (for those who indulge), there are regularly scheduled classes in the awesome kid’s Oceaneer’s Club and Lab for the whole family to enjoy. Disney Fantasy Cruise- Castaway Cay 5k

Earlier this year we were blessed to take a trip on the Disney Fantasy, cruising the Caribbean.  On our final day we stopped at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.  On each Disney cruise that stops at Castaway Cay, there is a 5K run that occurs first thing in the morning, before most cruisers are ready to head to the island for the day.  The Castaway Cay 5k run is free to all cruisers but you must sign up in advance and participants must be 10 years of age.
